Staff were very good pleasant and helpful.
Rooms were good value was good. Manager was very helpful as was the staff.
Room near kitchen exhaust fan was noisy, got changed no problem.
The Gym and pool was very good and great opening hours.
Better if the breaskfast started ealier
Friendly staff, nice room and the swimming pool etc was an added bonus. The decor in the corridors was a little dated and it looked like the carpet needed replacing but the rooms themselves were clean, tidy and had all the facilities you'd want. It's a very good location - a 10 minute walk from the town centre but in a quiet area with attractive buildings surrounding it.
Bedroom area looked a little dated, but otherwise all was fine
The staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The room itself was nice and clean and easy walk to the main part for shopping etc.
All the doors in the hotel were banging shut-even at gone midnight. Also make sure your room isnt above the lounge as there was a beer delivery at 7am.
Staff helpful - swimming pool great
It did what it said it would do - not luxury but good
I have been to this hotel since 2008 and must confess that each time after the first two times I said I would not go there again as the quality of the hotel has gone down considerably. The last two visits have confirmed this and I will not be staying at this hotel again.
standard of cleanliness in rooms is extremely poor. The quality of breakfast is extremely poor.
The hotel is very clean, the rooms are a decent size, the rooms are reasonably priced and, apart from occasional noises from the street, the ambiance is peaceful. More than this, the staff were, without exception, polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to give good service. What an unusual feature in these times.
The location was superb overlooking the waterways, would definately stay there again.
the beer was good bar staff friendly front of house staff very helpful
the room was a little too warm in bed at night there was not a lot on the continenental breakfast may be some more cheese or meats
The welcome we received was lovely and courteous, the hotel was clean and organised. The room was clean and spacious.
The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable as some of the springs had collapsed, needed better instructions on how to use the shower as I scalded my feet whilst standing in a freezing stream of water until I worked out how to make it function correctly!
The friendliness of staff, helpfulness and how well-run and clean the hotel was. Great breakfast too.
The staff were very good especially Holly on reception, a real asset, and the Irish guy in the bar.
Breakfast not bad but the sausages were not good at all, in fact we all left them , buy a better quality, or even charge another £ for breakfast to cover the extra and then no complaints whatsoever..
The hotel staff was very accommodating. Whatever we asked for, an extra fan, directions, etc., they immediately took care of. Hannah was exceptionally helpful. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I were in Manchester again. Within walking distance of the bus and train, as well as historical sites and shopping centers.
Part of the building is the y Club, which is similar to a ymca. In some instances, the members at the athletic club were taking all of the hotel parking spaces while I had to pay for parking.
The bed was very very uncomfortable, very little sleep. Only stayed for 1 night, could not have stayed another night in that bed. Need to change the matteress.
Lots of restaurants and bars around for leisure purposes. Safe enviroment
It is classed as central to city but was a half mile walk to main area. They do not have do not disturb signs for the door of the room.
